KYC for Entities

Please check our geographic limitations here. The KYC procedure for entities is not entirely automated, as we need to conduct manual checks on the information you provide.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Onboarding entities usually takes around 24 hours if you have the right documents available.

Step 1: investment goals

Due to local regulations, we are required to inquire about your investment experience and your objectives. Once your account has been validated, you will receive personalized investment advice based on the answers you have provided.

Step 2: entity verification

You will be required to submit several documents related to your entity, namely:

  • A Proof of Registration: this is the legal document which evidences the formation or registration of your legal entity in your country. It can be:

    • A Certificate of Existence
    • An Extract of the Trade register
    • A Certificate of Good Standing
    • A KBis (for French companies)
  • The Articles of Association: this document governs and regulates the activities of the entity. It can be:

    • By-Laws
    • Articles of Association
    • A Memorandum of Association
    • Corporate Statuses
  • The List of Ultimate Beneficial Owners: please provide a document listing all individuals with more than 25% beneficial ownership of the entity, with their first and last name, place and date of birth. This document can be:

    • Shareholders Register
    • By-Laws
    • Minutes of General Meetings
    • Extract of an Official Register
    • Extract of the Entity Register
    • An Excel Spreadsheet (If the document is not issued by a Government or Registry, please ensure the document contains the following statement signed by a Director of the entity "I confirm and attest that this document is true, valid and accurate as of DD/MM/YYYY")
  • A proof of the amount of your turnover or the amount of your equity: this document should allow us to check the source of funds you invest. It can be:

    • The latest Annual Tax Notice of your entity
    • The Annual Accounts Statement of your entity
    • A Proof of a recent fundraising

Step 3: official ID and biometric verification

You will be required to scan a personal official ID document and go through a biometric verification step. We work with Onfido, a leading tech provider for online identification. We accept the following types of ID documents:

  • passports
  • national identity cards

Step 4 (optional): proof of address

Depending on your situation, we might ask you for a proof of address. We accept the following documents :

  • Bank statements
  • Utility Bill (electricity, water, gas, broadband, landline)
  • Benefits Letter (e.g. Job seeker allowance, House benefits, Tax credits)
  • Mortgage statement
  • Local Government Tax Letter
  • Mobile phone bill (from EU countries only)
